In the name of all things holy how can I cope with 4mbps when I want to watch a film whilst my brother is playing on the Xbox?! The answer simply is that I can't.
I live essentially in a field, in the middle of the countryside. The idea of getting fibre optics out here in the sticks is a distant glimmer of the year 3000. My parents have battled with all different providers to try and improve the connection but all has failed, much to my brothers disgust when the connection drops at a crucial moment of his Fifa game *lots of swearing entails*. However I'm pretty sure to him any Fifa game is crucial unfortunately I cannot relate.
On a windy day or when it's raining (which England tends to do all the bloody time) the Internet usually becomes incompatible with all forms of technology to which my brother just chucks on his football kit and goes and plays in the garden - yes in the rain, the kid is nuts. I on the other-hand can't see the appeal of running round the garden in the pouring rain. Mainly because it'll take forever for me to dry out and looking like a mole rat for the rest of the day just isn't for me. I usually find a book or take a nap. I'm kidding I don't even find a book I just take a nap.
So here's to the city life and fast internet, I cannot wait to get back to Oxford and not have to wait for my YouTube videos to buffer 😍 #firstworldproblems.
