Day 4 of 366

If you asked me to walk outside when it was pouring with rain for any normal reason, I'd say 'hell to the no I'm going back to bed'. However, if you asked me to go outside in the pouring rain to go and watch some guys in tight shorts rolling around in the mud, throwing a ball around and I'd say 'HELL TO THE YES SIGN ME UP RIGHT NOW 😍😍😍'.

Yes, I know I'm weird.

But I think most girls will appreciate ruining their hair and make up and getting a little bit wet (steady) to watch some guys play sport. Especially if they're hot.

The question rolling around in my mind is 'why?'.
Why are we crazy enough to stand in the freezing cold with our coats buttoned all the way up wind and rain lashing against our faces to watch some boys play rugby especially as my friend pointed out 'they're all taken'.. Well damn son you could have told me that before I carted myself here!

Then you've got the fact that most of the girls on the sidelines don't understand the difference between a scrum and a try (Justin I may be useless but at least I know the difference). Do guys prefer a girl who actually knows the sport? Or whether they just care that the girl came to watch?

Overall I will more than happily learn the rules and come and watch a guy play sport in whatever weather as long as they buy me a drink and take me out for dinner afterwards. Safe to say the New Years resolution is going well 👌🏼

Day 3 of 366

Internet connections

In the name of all things holy how can I cope with 4mbps when I want to watch a film whilst my brother is playing on the Xbox?! The answer simply is that I can't.

I live essentially in a field, in the middle of the countryside. The idea of getting fibre optics out here in the sticks is a distant glimmer of the year 3000. My parents have battled with all different providers to try and improve the connection but all has failed, much to my brothers disgust when the connection drops at a crucial moment of his Fifa game *lots of swearing entails*. However I'm pretty sure to him any Fifa game is crucial unfortunately I cannot relate.

On a windy day or when it's raining (which England tends to do all the bloody time) the Internet usually becomes incompatible with all forms of technology to which my brother just chucks on his football kit and goes and plays in the garden - yes in the rain, the kid is nuts. I on the other-hand can't see the appeal of running round the garden in the pouring rain. Mainly because it'll take forever for me to dry out and looking like a mole rat for the rest of the day just isn't for me. I usually find a book or take a nap. I'm kidding I don't even find a book I just take a nap.

So here's to the city life and fast internet, I cannot wait to get back to Oxford and not have to wait for my YouTube videos to buffer 😍 #firstworldproblems.

Day 2 of 366

Having to do 2 blog posts in one day because I forgot to do one yesterday.. This is going so well.
I've decided to have a topic a day dependent on what has happened on that particular day.

Today's topic: Sleeping Patterns

Mine is well and truly annihilated, I fell asleep at 3am and woke up at 2pm.. Safe to say I am struggling to sleep now. The festive period really brings to light how you lose all sense of date and time when you have no plans and no work to do. Do I read a book? Do I watch a film? I don't know?! But it seems that I have managed to exhaust my Netflix library and my internet connection in Suffolk really isn't up to scratch to handle anything else.

You've also got the moaning of the parents 'you sleep too much' 'come and be social'. Or when they decided to hoover the whole entire house at 9am just to spite you so you can't have a lie in 🙄 thanks mum.

So here's to sleeping patterns, or lack of. Cheers 🍻 (I really do hope you can see emojis on this website)

Day 1 of 366

Day 1 of 366

January the 1st, or New Years Day. The first day of this blog, which I intend to keep for the entirety of 2016. The main aim is so I can look back over the course of the year and see how much is changed. Also to see how many people can relate to certain situations especially whilst living on their own at University. So basically it's going to be an online diary..

Quick Background
I'm 18 years old, and originally from Suffolk (the county where not much happens) but in August 2015 I made the very quick decision of uprooting myself from there and moving to Oxford for University. In September 2015 I moved to Oxford into a house with 8 other people who i'd never met ready for the next chapter of my life. It was the first time in my whole 18 years that i'd been away from my mum for more than a week, and it also required me to adapt pretty quickly to washing, ironing and also cooking food. I'm currently studying Sports Coaching, Fitness and Rehabilitation at Oxford Brookes University and I am loving it.

English never has been my strong point therefore most of these blog posts will be grammatically incorrect, but hey ho!

2015 was the year of change for me, so I haven't got one big New Years Resolution as I just want to be able to settle down and just enjoy life but if I had to pick a few things I would like to happen in 2016 they would be:
- Learn to good something healthy
- Keep going to the gym and playing football
- Stay away from guys!

All in all 2015 was very enjoyable for me, especially when I moved to university, therefore I am very excited to see what 2016 can bring for me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
